June 2014 Blood Drive Success!!!

We had a GREAT turn out for Cameron’s Blood Drive which was held last weekend Saturday, June 14th at Sylvester’s Western Wear in Kenner, La. I would like to again send a big ‘Thank You!’ To Sylvester’s Western Wear for hosting the event and advertising at their business, another big ‘Thank You!’ to The Blood Center for sending out their Blood Mobile and Staff and another big ‘Thank You!’ to the Sudden Impact Team for drawing all the attention. The Monster Truck Team Sudden Impact was an amazing sight to see with Amsoil Shock Therapy and the tank Mad Trax. There were 42 kind souls attempting to donate blood for Cam and 36 blood donations completed for the day. The raffle went amazingly well and Sylvester’s Western Wear was kind enough to donate that money to the Baby Mogg Medical Fund. The generous winner of the raffle gave Cam the prize which was a super cool remote control toy race car both Cam and Daddy will enjoy, thanks again! I’m so very thankful to everyone who came out to support Cam with their time and blood donations. I made an art board for everyone to sign so we might show Cam one day all the caring people who came out that day to Sylvester’s Western Wear just for him. Again, we appreciate all the prayers and support from everybody and will continue to post here about his upcoming open heart surgery. We will know more information after Cam’s sedated Cath scheduled for July 8th, the test will allow the Doctors to make a full medical plan for surgery. We actually have a tentative surgery date of August 21st 2014 and if there are no set backs or other heart family emergency cases this will be the day for Cameron’s Fontan.

We have a Blood Drive for Cameron aka Baby Mogg coming up Saturday, June 14th @12Noon-4pm. We were contacted by Sylvester’s Western Wear 2600 Williams Boulevard, Kenner LA and they were kind enough to involve us in their enormous Father’s Day event. We now have a date for Cam’s Cath of Tuesday, July 8th… Again they will look at these heart pictures at a meeting and decide a plan, then schedule us for the Fontan surgery. We have a 3rd Birthday to plan for June 23rd and it’s a big deal for all of us to celebrate before this surgery. The theme will be Super Heroes as this is his newest infatuation. Everything else is being most enjoyable here just a sweet little man growing too big too fast. We got another big boy haircut and he was so well behaved but still didn’t enjoy it too much. We are enjoying all types of water play and more four wheeler riding out back. I can’t say it enough that Cam is just a doll full of boy play all day!

We had a great monster truck day last month visiting the Sudden Impact Team! They were incredibly kind enough to tire up Shock Therapy and Ground Pounder, and set these beast of a monster trucks out for display just for Cameron! We got a cool signed Sudden Impact Tshirt and we gave them one of ours too :)! Dream come true for Cam… Thank You Again!!!
